Role Overview ๐
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will work across frontend and backend areas that support Benifex employee experience products, mobile app, and platform look and feel.
The team is responsible for operational continuity, technical stability, and continuous improvement beyond the product roadmap, which means the work often involves balancing new development with careful maintenance, refactoring, and production reliability.
This role suits someone who enjoys complex domains, established systems, and end-to-end ownership. You will contribute to frontend development in React, TypeScript, and Angular, while also designing and maintaining backend services, APIs, and integrations using Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and SQL.
We are also on a journey to use AI more deliberately in our daily engineering work. We are looking for someone who has practical experience with AI-assisted and agentic coding workflows, or who wants to keep exploring how these tools can help us move faster, improve quality, understand complex codebases, and reduce repetitive work without lowering our engineering standards.

Responsibilities ๐ค
Design, build, and maintain fullstack features across employee experience products and platform UI areas.
Build frontend functionality in React and TypeScript and support existing Angular-based applications.
Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and data flows using Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and SQL.
Integrate frontend experiences with reliable, well-designed APIs and platform services.
Safely evolve a large, long-lived codebase through incremental refactoring and technical debt reduction.
Treat reliability, security, performance, accessibility, and maintainability as core parts of delivery.
Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and knowledge-sharing.
Help investigate bugs and production issues, identify root causes, and prevent recurring problems.
Mentor other engineers and contribute to technical decisions within the team.
Use AI-assisted and agentic coding tools thoughtfully as part of daily development, code exploration, testing, refactoring, and documentation.
Help the team learn where AI adds value, where human judgement is still essential, and how to use these tools responsibly in a complex production codebase.
What are we looking for? ๐
Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and SQL: Needed to build and maintain backend services, APIs, and data-driven functionality.
React, TypeScript, and Angular: Needed to contribute across both future frontend development and existing FPS frontend areas.
API design and integration: Important for creating dependable interfaces between frontend, backend, and platform services.
Testing, CI/CD, and observability: Needed to deliver reliable changes and diagnose issues in production-like environments.
AI-assisted and agentic coding: Practical experience using AI coding tools to explore codebases, generate or refactor code, write tests, support reviews, or accelerate delivery while maintaining strong engineering judgement.
